WISE INTERNATIONAL LLC DBA VECTORWX ("VectorWX," "we," "us," or "our") operates the VectorWX mobile application (the "App"), the API at api.vectorwx.app, and related websites including vectorwx.app (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom it is shared, and the choices available to you.

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Summary

VectorWX does not require a VectorWX user account. We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the App. We do not collect GPS location; you enter airport codes manually.

We do process limited technical and request data needed to operate the Service (including briefing route parameters, optional weather limits you choose to send, a per-install device identifier for rate limiting, IP addresses in server logs, and—if you email us—your email address).

2. Information Sent to Our Servers

When you request a briefing, the App sends a secure HTTPS request to our API that may include:

We use this information to fetch public aviation weather/NOTAM data, filter items along your route, return a briefing, enforce limits, secure the Service, and diagnose failures. We do not use it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Information Stored on Your Device Only

4. Information We Do Not Collect (via the App)

Exceptions: If you email support@vectorwx.app, we receive whatever you include (typically your email address and message content) to respond. Website hosting and email routing providers may process that correspondence.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

VectorWX Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple provides entitlement status to the App so Pro features can unlock on your device. When the App requests a briefing while a subscription is active, it may send an Apple-signed transaction JWS to the Service so the Service can verify the Pro tier for fair-use capacity. The Service does not use a client-supplied tier label as proof of payment.

Introductory offer and billing: Eligible new subscribers to the monthly plan may receive a free first month. The yearly plan does not include that free month. From the second month, the monthly subscription renews at the regular price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in Apple ID settings. See Terms of Service — Subscriptions.

Refunds: We do not process subscription refunds. Request refunds from Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention and Server Logs

Briefing requests are processed in near real time. We do not maintain a traditional user-profile database tied to your legal name.

Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) and related infrastructure may retain technical logs that can include timestamps, client IP address, request path, response status, latency, API usage counts, device ID header, and client version. We use these logs for security, abuse prevention, reliability, and debugging.

Retention: We intend to retain routine request logs only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes (typically on the order of weeks to a few months, subject to provider defaults, security investigations, and legal holds). We may retain aggregated, de-identified metrics longer.

To request deletion of server logs that may be reasonably linkable to you, email support@vectorwx.app with approximate timestamps, routes queried, and any other detail that helps us locate records. We will respond as required by applicable law. Some logs may be retained where legally required or for security integrity.

On-device history and settings remain until you clear them in Settings, reset settings, or uninstall the App.

7. Automated Processing and Service Providers

We use service providers ("processors") to operate the Service, including:

Providers may only access data as needed to perform services for us and as described here. We do not use advertising networks.

8. Third-Party Aviation Data Sources

VectorWX retrieves publicly available aviation data from government and public sources (including FAA Aviation Weather Center, D-ATIS, and optionally FAA SWIM). We do not control those sources or their practices. Their availability and content may change without notice.

9. How We Use Information

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults engaged in aviation reference use and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. U.S. State Privacy Rights (including CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your state of residence (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or others with consumer privacy laws), you may have rights to: (a) know/access categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect; (b) delete personal information we maintain; (c) correct inaccuracies; (d) opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell or so share); and (e) non-discrimination for exercising rights.

Categories we may process: identifiers (IP address; per-install device ID); internet/network activity (API request logs); and inferences only insofar as automated summaries of public aviation text you request. We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

To exercise rights, email support@vectorwx.app with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify your request (such as approximate request times and routes). Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law with proof of authorization. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days for CCPA/CPRA, subject to permitted extensions).

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under the CPRA.

12. Canada (PIPEDA) Privacy Rights

If you are in Canada, we process personal information as described in this Policy for the purposes of operating and securing the Service. Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, you may request access to, or correction of, personal information about you that we hold, subject to legal exceptions. Contact support@vectorwx.app with "Canada Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within the time required by applicable Canadian law.

We do not sell your personal information. Transfers to service providers in the United States (for example Google Cloud or AI summarization vendors used for FULL) are for service operation as described above.

13. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms used by our providers.

App Store availability may be limited to certain territories (for example, the United States and Canada). Territorial availability does not expand rights beyond applicable law.

14. Security

We use HTTPS for App-to-API communication and industry-reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk regarding residual security risk.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information we control and notification is required by law, we will provide notice as required (which may include posting on this site or emailing an address you provided).

15. Your Choices

16. Do Not Track

The Service does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the App.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example, in-app or on our website). Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Policy, except where applicable law requires affirmative consent.
